All you music lovers out there, get ready for “Terni in Jazz.” Umbria is known throughout the world for its jazz events, and the Cultural Association Charlie has organized concerts and workshops for “Terni in Jazz.” This site offers information on dates, places, prices of the concerts. Have a look at the programme and decide ahead of time how you would like to participate. There will even be an evening dedicated to ear training so you can better recognize the differences between blues, swing, bebop, jazz, R&R. You can also participate in courses about music history, music journalism and much more.

Lake Trasimeno: art and nature in Umbria

Trasinet is a portal dedicated to Lake Trasimeno in Umbria and its surrounding Comunes: Castiglione sul Lago Città della Pieve, Magione, Paciano, Passignano sul Trasimeno, Panicale, Piegaro and Tuoro sul Trasimeno. It may only be in Italian for now, but this site is definitely worth a visit if you love nature and Italy. So take out your Italian-English dictionaries because you can learn about off the beaten path places and get helpful tips that are not usually known to foreign tourists. You can also plan your trip directly through this site by booking your stay in: hotels, farmhouses, bed and breakfast guest houses, camp grounds, holiday homes, and apartments.

This is a useful site if you are interested in taking a vacation in Umbria. The site is mainly in Italian, but you can at least see the headings in English. Not only is it possible to find a farmhouse, but you also look for an apartment to rent, hotels, villas, and bed and breakfast guest homes, based on your town or area of choice. Each type of accommodation has a brief description, contact info and a link to their site. The 92 comuni in Umbria: history and photosThis resourceful site was created by American Bill Thayer who has invited us to take a look in his diary through Umbria documented with interesting facts and beautiful photos. If you are planning a trip to Umbria to get a feel for medieval history or if you are simply looking for some information or facts on Umbria, then this site is a great starting point. Bill has spent over a year in total exploring the 92 comuni (towns) in Umbria on foot and has provided us with plenty of information so we can plan either walking or biking tours. Of course there is a ton of info for those of us who want to use a car. We can also find info on churches, art, monuments and villages that are not typically found in regular guide books or sites.

Under Saints and Famous Figures, learn more about the men and women who have shaped history. Of course, there is a list of museums with descriptions and contact information.
